Can late stage Lyme disease cause nail discoloration?

Possible.. not likely. Nail discoloration is usually a sign of kidney, pulmonary, or heart problems. Can late stage Lyme disease cause nail discoloration?
Lyme disease can be associated with other bacterial issues, but I'm not really sure about fungal issues, which usually cause toenail or fingernail discolorations. There is an entire website dedicated to Lyme disease that you might find helpful in answering your question. See the link below. If you don't find what you need, you can always e-mail the website with your question directly and possibly find a definitive answer through their moderator. I don't know specifically about nail discoloration. But chronic Lyme disease trashes the immune system, opening the gate for fungus, parasites, yeast, viruses, you name it. So, even if the Lyme didn't ';cause'; the discoloration, it may well have contributed to body conditions which allowed it to happen.
